Happy Monday Original Line Up Currently on Tour
Madchester is back!!!! The Happy Mondays are back on tour this year. The Happy Mondays are half way through the Happy Mondays UK Tour. The tour also has support from other Manchester Legends The Inspiral Carpets
This Happy Mondays tour is the first time in over 19 years that the original Happy Mondays line up will be performing together. The original Happy Mondays Line Up is Bez, Gary Whelan, Mark Day, Paul Davies, Paul Ryder, Rowetta and Shaun Ryder.
The rtour has already seen them playing a huge homecoming show at the Manchester Arena ( The old MEN Arena).
It is not too larte to see the Happy Mondays on the UK tour with dates in Dublin, Leeds, Nottingham and a couple of dates at the London O2 Academy Brixton.
Lead singer Shaun Ryder commented on the tour saying
“We all met up last week and some of the lads haven’t seen each other in over 10, 15 years. It’s as if we’ve never been apart – so good to all be in the same room again. We can’t wait now to get on tour and play the songs that made us famous.’
The Happy Mondays are drenched in Manchester heritage, they were discovered by Tony Wilson in the Club which epitomised the only Madchester scene in the late 1980s early 1990s the legendary
Hacienda
The Happy Mondays debut album was called Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out) ….. Trying saying that one in a hurry came out in 1987 and was followed up by two other legendary albums
The first in 1988 was Bummed in 1988, and then the third their legendary album Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches. This album went platinum in the UK.
Happy Mondays classic singles were Step On, dd, Hallelujah, 24 Hour Party People and you can expect to hear all these albums during the UK Tour.
