Kaiser Chiefs Leeds Arena Concert Announced

Leeds Favourite Sons the Kaiser Chiefs have announed they will play a homecoming show in Leeds and they will have the honour of opening the new Leeds Arena. They last played Leeds when they played the Kirkstall Abbey is thought to be one of the most complete medieval Cistercian Abbey’s still intact and sits in parkland along the River Aire. Hopefully we will not be predicting a riot when the Kaiser Chiefs show comes to town!!


The Kaiser Chiefs have a busy summer with festival shows across the UK and Europe but this very special show on 13th September 2013 at the multi million pound Leeds Arena will allow the band to celebrate 10 years in the music business with fans from their hometown. The show will include a full list of support acts and tickets for Kaiser chiefs kirstall abbey concert will go on sale on Friday 30th November 2012 at 9:30 am.
The Kaiser Cheifs released a single online this week called “Little Shocks” it is available from the Official Kaiser Chiefs Website . The track was previewed on BBC Radio 1 Zane Lowe’s show and he made it his ‘Hottest Record in the World’, Zane liked it so much he played it twice in half an hour. The new single is described as a darker and heavier sound but still has the infectious guitar rifts which is a hallmark of Kaiser Chiefs music.
The single was produced by Bowie and Lou Reed producer Tony Visconti and was mixed by Owen Morris who has worked with Oasis and The Verve. The Kaiser Chiefs are made up of Ricky Wilson (vocals) / Nick Hodgson (drums/vocals) Andrew White (guitar) / Simon Rix (bass) / Peanut (keyboards).
